Episode 8: Can Your Real Estate Syndication Shares Be Tradable?

Blockchain Real Estate Summit

In this episode of the Blockchain Real Estate Podcast, host Michael Flight sits down with Ryan Zega from tZERO (https://tzero.com/) to explore the innovative possibilities of making real estate syndication shares tradable. Ryan, who leads the charge at tZERO, dives into the mechanics of how their platform provides secondary liquidity for real estate assets through tokenization and trading on their alternative trading system (ATS).

Learn about tZERO's comprehensive ecosystem, which includes retail broker-dealer tZERO Markets, institutional connectivity, and their approach to accommodating both accredited and non-accredited investors. Ryan elaborates on the advantages of tokenization, including how it can offer flexibility to limited partners (LPs) by enabling them to trade their equity in a continuous, live trading environment. Ryan and Michael also discuss the evolving landscape of secondary trading for real estate, including regulatory considerations, reporting requirements, and the broad appeal for both general partners (GPs) and LPs.

Uncover the potential of digital securities in transforming the real estate investment landscape, providing liquidity, and enhancing capital-raising strategies for real estate syndications.

*Recorded by the Blockchain Real Estate Meetup (formerly the Chicago Blockchain Real Estate Collective) on February 24, 2022.
